This February, Zapata Ranch will open it's doors for our first annual painting workshop. Led by Denver area-based and multi-award winning artist Lani Vlaanderen, this long weekend will be packed with 3 full days of instructional workshop where students will have the opportunity to paint from a live cowboy model, wildlife including bison, horses, cattle and ducks, as well as the unique San Luis Valley landscape. A great studio space is available for those not wanting to brave the elements and painting from photos is permitted. This is a great opportunity to gather reference from an actual working ranch and recieve instruction on how to express your experience in paint. Included in admission is lodging and all meals prepared by the ranch's gourmet chef. Painting Class: Ongoing
At present I am conducting an ongoing class in my studio on Mondays in Loveland Colorado from 9:30am to 4:00pm. The venue varies from working on your own project to class exercises, an occasional live model, movie etc. Field trips to local galleries, museum shows etc. are also a part of the curriculum.
The cost is $30 per day, with monthly enrollment encouraged to ensure a spot in the class. Drop-ins can be arranged.
